LA CELAC Por José Luis Hernández Jiménez Con la novedad, mis estimados cuatro o cinco lectores (as), que acaba de nacer un nuevo organismo regional que pretende unir a los 33 países latinoamericanos y del Caribe. No tiene nombre oficial pero le denominaron Comunidad de Estados Latinoamericanos y del Caribe (CELAC), y los titulares del mismo son los Presidentes de esas naciones. Fue el resultado de la celebración, los días 21, 22 y 23 de febrero pasado, en Cancún México, de la Cumbre de la Unidad de América Latina y el Caribe. Se oye bien pero parece que ni todos quedaron contentos, ni hay certeza de que llegue a tener un futuro útil. Y es que aunque se le llamó de la "unidad" y "comunidad", hubo uno al que ni siquiera invitaron, Honduras; y hubo dos que casi se avientan un tirito, los Presidentes de Colombia y Venezuela que, si no es por la intervención de otros dos mandatarios que los separaron, sangre de nariz o boca, de los peleoneros, hubiera manchado los manteles de las mesas en que ingerían sus sagrados alimentos. De pilón pusieron tache a la participación en el nuevo organismo, de Estados Unidos y de Canadá. Dicen que porque no son latinoamericanos. Aunque no toman en cuenta que en esos dos países "no latinoamericanos", habitan permanentemente unos 30 millones de latinoamericanos – y las tendencias de emigración de latinoamerica hacia el norte del continente, indican que la cifra seguirá creciendo -. y que es posible, que por dicha influencia latina, dentro de muy poco el Presidente de los Estados Unidos, sea de origen latinoamericano. Las malas lenguas dicen que los verdaderos motivos de ambas exclusiones, son el odio, la envidia y el miedo, pues Canadá y EU, son unos grandulones aprovechados. Quién sabe. Mediáticamente pocos se llevaron las cámaras y los aplausos. Por ejemplo, en los discursos de clausura, el que logró sintetizar todo lo tratado en el evento, fue el Presidente mexicano. No se le escapó nada; El más monótono, que casi duerme a los presentes, fue el del Presidente de Cuba. Si al menos gesticulara, modulara la voz, manoteara y abriera tamaños ojotes, como su carnal, pero no; El más reflexivo, profundo y sincero, resultó ser el aún Presidente de Costa Rica. Quizá porque este fue su último evento internacional; La mejor improvización correspondíó al mensaje del Presidente brasileño. No en balde toda su experiencia. El discurso mas optimista fue el de la Presidenta de Chile. Lástima que ya se va. Por lo pronto, México sale ganando, en particular su Presidente. Con los apapachos recibidos de parte de Cuba, Venezuela, Brasil, Chile, Bolivia y otros, le tapa la boca a su oposición de izquierda y agarra fuerza ante los gringos. Cierto, habrá algunos que digan que eso no va a servir porque el organismo no se declaró "revolucionario" o aunque sea "socialista" o ya de perdis "bolivariano". Nada de eso. Pero tiene su importancia. En general habrá que esperar uno o dos años, para ver si el CELAC avanza o si sus propias contradicciones, que son muchas, lo dejan convertido en un foro más. ¿No creen?
